Goals and Challenges for 2009/2010

This financial year Galilee will aim to focus on:

  • Obtaining funding other than that currently provided by ACT and Federal Governments. Galilee intends to gain additional funding to provide greater flexibility in delivering and diversifying programs.

  • Growing the organisation to make it more sustainable and improve economies of scale. Galilee aims to double in size and become sustainable into the future.

  • Reducing staff turnover levels, especially for those
who have been employed at Galilee for less than
    three years.

  • Revising the Galilee strategic plan.

  • Building strategic relationships with the corporate sector and solidify existing relationships.

  • Converting in-kind support provided by Galilee to be income producing.

  • Making better use of volunteers and upgrading
    their training.

  • Obtaining funding to develop programs for parenting skills, extension of some programs to cater for 8 to 12 year olds and vocational education training beyond
    Year 10 schooling.

  • Building solid, cooperative relations with all other community organisations.

  • Developing an IT strategy to upgrade and integrate systems across the whole organisation.
