Media Release – Galilee School 666 ABC radio Spruce-up

Release Date:
Sat, 12/12/2009

Galilee wishes to thank all volunteers for their generous contribution of time and effort to the Galilee School Spruce-up on Saturday 12th December 2009.

The attendance at the event was an overwhelming success and the contribution all volunteers put in allowed the school to become something that all students and teachers can look after and be proud of.

The hard work was well worth the final result with a complete overhaul of the garden beds, as well as significant tree pruning, planting, indoor maintenance and step building.

All of this was made possible only with the help of those that gave up their Saturday to come along and help lend a hand.

Thank you. The students of Galilee School were welcomed on Monday morning with the incredible transformation of their school environment and were very grateful for the care shown towards them.

Pictures of the day can be found on the ABC website at http://www.abc.net.au/local/photos/2009/12/12/2769877.htm?site=canberra
